About Turtle Island Imports Sarongs:
Sarongs are worn in a variety of ways. Wrap as a skirt, top, headpiece, scarf or shawl. They are not only the perfect beach wrap but they make a great tablecloth, wall hanging or curtain. The sarongs (also known as Pareos) we bring you come from Bali. We travel there annually to pick out the finest ones to add to our selection. Most of these beautiful designs are done by batik, applying wax to the fabric to resist the dye. The wax is then removed revealing the design. All are made from fast drying, breathable rayon and measure approximately 66" x 46", not including the fringe. They wash easily by hand or machine. Hang to dry. Wash separately the first time or two.

These Premium Quality Rayon Artisan Batik Sarongs are made by Balinese experienced in the art of Batik. They are made of a heavier, higher thread count rayon and the colors are deeper and richer. Most of these sarongs are a triple process batik, as opposed to the more common single and double process batiks.
